Our opportunity for you:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join Vistra Human Resources team as a HR Manager

Scope:

This is an individual contributor role within the South East Asia HR Team to look after all people matters end-end, and partner closely with the business will be the key to success in this role in particular adding value by supporting the acquisition, on-boarding and retention of superior talent in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Business Partner:

• Provide HR expertise to support leaders and employees in all aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to off-boarding.
• Build a trusted relationship with leaders to coach them to continue to build their people management capability and be a sounding board on all people issues.
• Work with the business to identify opportunities for improvement and building a high performing team
• Guide business leaders and managers on HR policy and ER advice
• Support delivery of the "Annual HR Calendar" of cyclical activities - e.g. annual performance review process, engagement surveys etc
• Stay abreast of current trends and practices to recommend changes to existing processes and policies which comply with legislation
• Work closely with the Head of HR in managing disciplinary and grievance issues

Recruitment and HR Services:

• Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to ensure we attract and hire the right talents.
• Manage the on-boarding and retention of our most important asset - our people
• Ensure compliance with local labour law including employee relations matters such as misconduct, under performance, grievances etc. and advising the business accordingly
• Maintain personnel files and HR platforms including V-Connect
• Prepare reports and advise the business (e.g. attrition, recruitment, employee engagement, etc.)

Compensation and Benefits:

• Review the monthly payroll, tax declaration, government claims, statutory contribution or any other payroll related reports for the designated business units
• Partner with the business to advise and create any local Recognition initiatives

Learning and Development:

• Promote and embed the use of the Vistra Skills Portal and other global initiatives for soft-skill development
• Work with other Global HR colleagues to design other learning opportunities as required

Global and Regional HR:

• One Vistra: take part in HR projects on a global or regional basis as required
• Promote and role model Vistra's Values at all times
• Support roll-out of further V-Connect (SAP Success Factors) modules as required

Attributes/Technical Skills

• Strong team player with a positive attitude working with other HR team members to collectively deliver solutions
• A strong internal client service focus with highly developed communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong knowledge of local employment legislation and regulations
• Strong business acumen coupled with a sound understanding of the commercial context of professional services and financial services industries
• Ability to collate and process information both qualitative and quantitative and develop draft report based on these findings
• Highly motivated individual who takes ownership of their work
• Well-rounded HR capabilities in carrying out a HR generalist role in a results-oriented yet flexible manner
• Proactive, driven, resourceful and able to deal with ambiguity and a fast pace

Relevant Experience

• A strong HR foundation of 8+ years' experience gained in professional services or financial services industries preferred
• Previous project management experience desirable

Education/Memberships

• Degree holder; Human Resources or other related discipline advantageous

Computer Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in prevalent HR system a plus
