Summary of Role:
Develop and implement Market Access, Health and Economic strategies through a future and patient access focused partnership across government healthcare sectors, industry forums, funding bodies and NGOs
Understand and connect current market trends nationally and locally in terms of legislation, health care, medical devices, funding systems, decision makers and decision-making processes and the relationship between political and operation system
Identify further business growth opportunities within government funding access

Responsibilities:
Establish and build relationships with Government and public policy makers for the Company\'s long term business success.
Engage with policy-shaping and strategic stakeholders, industry forums and commerce chambers, to shape and influence public policy development.
Maintain a comprehensive and current understanding of Malaysian social, political and Government policy environment.
Work with subject matter experts inside and outside the Company to establish positions on public policy issues of importance to the Company.
Map the current and future policy environment and assist in the development of short- and long-term strategic plans for the Company.
Develop and maintain tools or processes to meet regulatory and evidentiary requirements, for efficient material content access, best practice examples of Government affairs advocacy and of cross market best practices.
In collaboration with cross-functional colleagues, develop compelling arguments and execute advocacy to drive the Company\'s business success in response to public policy issues.
Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
Work with external stakeholders on key public policy issues to support patients\' ability to access best outcome therapies for their immediate and long-term benefits.
Support senior management on all major aspects of Government Policy to support them in their role as key company spokespeople.
Facilitate interaction between senior management and senior Government officials.

Requirements:
At least 5-7 years\' experience in a similar role.
Significant understanding and appreciation of the Malaysian political environment and policy issues.
Strong understanding of Malaysian and regional health economics trend and health care and health tech landscape.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing abilities.
Record of shaping major complex and complicated policy matters at senior levels of Government on issues involving many, varied and powerful stakeholders.
Highly developed cultural sensitivity.
