Global Debt Markets Derivatives Trade Processing Management is integral to HSBC\xe2\x80\x99s purpose and strategy, playing a valued role in Rates trading life cycle management. Our global team of Middle Office professionals partner with the business to provide accurate, efficient, timely and controlled trade validation, ensuring seamless downstream processing. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Manager - Processing.

THIS IS A 12 MONTHS CONTRACT ROLE

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

\xc2\xb7 Provide high quality Trade Validation, Trade Control and Trade Reconciliation Investigation service to the Middle Office Desk Support, Front Office business and onshore Operations for Interest Rates Derivative products across London and Paris as per agreed service agreements.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure the escalation of all problems/risk issues within their area to the respective stakeholders and the appropriate levels of management as per escalation matrix, in a timely manner.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure effective management of risk and controls in line with the Risk Management Control Framework.

\xc2\xb7 Observe that all reporting requirements applicable to their role are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.

\xc2\xb7 Work towards improving process KRIs, KPIs and bright lines through the efficient use of tactical and strategic solutions.

\xc2\xb7 Identify control gaps and implement additional steps to mitigate risk in an environment of capacity constraints.

\xc2\xb7 Continually challenge procedures, checklists and performance measures to ensure our delivery to clients are optimized.

\xc2\xb7 Identify areas of efficiency and implement changes.

\xc2\xb7 Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

\xc2\xb7 Implement and ensure adherence to the Group Privacy, Control and Compliance Policies, applicable to their role.

\xc2\xb7 Adhere to the group requirement that each employee is aware of the Operational Risk scenarios associated with their role and to ensure that all actions during their employment with HSBC take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.

\xc2\xb7 Understand and ensure compliance to all relevant internal and external governance, regulations and procedures

\xc2\xb7 Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

\xc2\xb7 A minimum of a BA/BS/BC degree.

\xc2\xb7 Strong culture of ethics and integrity.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to speak and understand English fluently with exceptional business communication skills.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills as well as a strong eye for detail are required.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to perform well in a fast pace and high pressure environment against tight timelines.

\xc2\xb7 Strong Derivatives Operations background with knowledge of OTC Derivatives products are preferred.

\xc2\xb7 Strong understanding of operational risk, procedures and controls as well as of front to back trade lifecycle

\xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge in trade level reconciliation and investigation.

\xc2\xb7 Comfortable working with senior stakeholders.

\xc2\xb7 Technical / IT understanding of how trading and order management systems operate is desirable.

What additional skills will be good to have?

\xc2\xb7 Previous experience in Middle Office, Confirmations or Settlements roles will be an added advantage.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge effectively and accurately.

\xc2\xb7 Evidence of process management knowledge with an ability to independently initiate process improvements and encourage the same in others.

\xc2\xb7 Evidence of leadership skills, with a keen ability to build rapport and relationships with a wide and varied panel of stakeholders.

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of MS Office coupled with good numerical and analytical skills \xe2\x80\x93 be able to understand, analyze, and communicate data in a concise, logical and visually stimulating form.

\xc2\xb7 People and talent management.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to see the big picture and drive strategic objectives without losing attention to detail.

\xc2\xb7 Summit, Markitwire, DTP Calypso, TREATS or other PTS/BO systems experience preferred.
