Job Description

Our client is responsible for the design, construction, testing and commissioning of the LRT3 system in Kuala Lumpur and is looking for and experienced QA QC professional to take on the position of Manager, QAQC for System (Major in Power Supply & Distribution System) .The person will be based Vivo 9 Seputeh, Kuala Lumpur (HQ for Setia Utama LRT 3) and will report to the Project Manager PSDS.

Duties and Responsibilities
- in conjunction with the PD PS&DS and Head of Quality Assurance & Control assist in the development of the
Main Contractor\'s Project Quality Plan and Procedures related to PS&DS scope
- Lead QAQC team for the self delivery scope of PS&DS
- Lead in undertaking Quality Audits and Site Surveillance on Suppliers, Subcontractors and Consultants site
activities. Follow up on closure of any observations and Non Conformances raised during these audits.
- Lead in the performance of internal Quality Audits within the Main Contractor Organisation
- Lead in the performance of internal Quality Audits and Site Surveillances on Subcontractor and SC site activities
- Participate in the review of Sub-Contractor\'s technical submissions, such as Method Statements, Inspection and
Test Plans ,Quality Plans , Material , Equipment etc
- Organise regular quality meeting and site walk with Consultants, Suppliers and Subcontractors
- Attend PS&DS progress meeting and follow up actions
- Establish and implement quality assurance measurement tools to monitor the Subcontractors, Consultants
and Suppliers performance
- Lead in quality inductions for the Main Contractor staff, Subcontractors, Consultants and Suppliers
- Lead and review the training plan and recommend urgent needs of the Subcontractors, Consultants and
Suppliers for the effective execution of the work
- Oversee the Consultants management of all "site" raised Non-Conformance processes and Site Inspection
Requests including tht of the Subcontractors
- Coordinate and witness the main Contractors independent material testing activities FAT,FAi ets where
applicable with Contract Requirements
- Support the Project Team in dealing with the Client on related Quaiity matters
- Assist the PM PS&DS in developing quality tools such as standardised forms, registers, inspection formats etc
for the use of the Main Contractor, Consultants , Suppliers and Subcontractors
- Update the PM PS&DS QAQC activities

Job Requirements

- Degree in Engineering in any discipline or related field
- Minimum 12 years experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control in the relevant technical field
- Member of Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is preferable
- Computer literate especially with Microsoft Office
- Mature, problem solver and able to work in fast paced environment
- Trained Lead Auditor
- Demonstrated ability to supervise junior staff
