RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee and responsible for managing the full spectrum of the human resources department, including payroll, industrial relations, recruitment, administration, income tax, and foreign worker processes. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in human resource management and at least 5 years of management experience. Tasks include \xe2\x80\x93 Primary
  • Recruitment and Selection: Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making job offers.
  • Employee Relations: Handling employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions. Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, managing employee contracts, and conducting exit interviews.
  • Training and Development: Identifying training needs, designing and delivering training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Coordinating with external training providers if necessary.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Managing salary structures, benefits programs, and performance appraisal systems. Ensuring fair and competitive compensation packages, administering payroll, and conducting salary surveys.
  • Policy Development: Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in line with labor laws and industry best practices. Ensuring compliance with employment regulations and maintaining employee handbooks.
  • Performance Management: Overseeing the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans. Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
  • Employee Engagement: Developing and implementing initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction, such as employee recognition programs, employee surveys, and social events.
  • HR Administration: Managing HR databases and systems, maintaining employee records, preparing HR reports, and ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Compliance: Keeping up-to-date with labor laws and regulations in Malaysia and ensuring HR practices align with legal requirements. Handling work permit applications for foreign employees if applicable.
  • Strategic HR Planning: Collaborating with senior management to align HR strategies with organizational goals. Providing advice and guidance on talent acquisition, succession planning, and workforce development.
  • Assist Finance Department in managing cost of human capital, audit and tax reporting.
  • Any administrative tasks deemed reasonable as required by the Management.
JOB CRITERIA:
  • Education: A bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 7 years experience in Human Resource, with 5 years management experience.
  • Knowledge of Employment Laws: A strong understanding of employment and industrial relation laws and relevant regulations is crucial to ensure compliance and provide guidance on HR matters.
  • HR Skills: Proficiency in various HR functions, such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR policies and procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effectively interacting with employees, management, and external stakeholders. Strong presentation and negotiation skills are also valued.
  • Leadership and Management Abilities: Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to lead and develop HR teams, manage projects, and make strategic HR decisions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations, make informed decisions, and provide innovative solutions to HR challenges.
  • Business Acumen: A good understanding of the organization\'s industry, business objectives, and the ability to align HR strategies with overall business goals. Experience in F&B industries are highly valued.
  • Ethical Conduct: Maintaining a high level of professional ethics and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information and HR matters.
  • Certification: Possession of relevant HR certifications can be beneficial and demonstrate a commitment to professional development.
  • Candidate must possess own transportation as the candidate will be required to travel between outlets.
