Global Service & Parts (GSP) is responsible for the worldwide Service & Parts business of the Mercedes-Benz Group.
The newly established entity, Mercedes-Benz Parts Logistics Asia Pacific, will be part of the global Mercedes-Benz Group After-Sales supply chain network, covering the regional distribution hub, regional Asia Pacific functions and the center of competence supply chain steering Asia Pacific. The future Regional Logistics Centre is currently under construction and will start operations in 2023. The future Regional Logistics Centre (RLC) in Senai (Johor Bahru) will be a key facility in the global GSP Parts Logistics Network and will serve as a distribution site for spare parts to 24 countries in the Asia Pacific region. It will take care of the importation, the storage as well as the regional management of spare part and accessories distribution.

Your tasks & responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate with Team Leads and service providers on Customs related topics to ensure regulatory compliance in the Free Trade Zone (FTZ).
- Key management liaison with the authorities on all Custom related topics.
- Establish good business rapport and relationship with the authorities through regular communication and process improvement strategies.
- Manage and oversee daily transportation operations and administrative applications in the FTZ.
- Monitor and assess changes in business and transportation operations which may impact the regulatory compliance (e.g.: FTZ regulations) and strategize on a mitigation or improvement plan, where necessary.
- Steer and strategize the APAC Control Tower.
- Serve as a guide and pioneer for all transportation management and optimization in the region.
- Manage all air, ocean and land transportation related topics.
- Define, assess and monitor the set-up of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Lead and manage all transportation Request for Quotation (RFQ), tenders, process requirements, negotiation and award decision-making.
- Manage the Business Continuity Process (BCP) and contingency planning for seasonal impacts and risks.
- Manage improvement measures governance on transportation with regular performance review cadence by conducting root cause analysis with corrective actions with internal/external collaboration.
- Participate and maintain regular communication with Authorities through operations meeting to discuss on FTZ processes and improvement strategies.

Job requirements:
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Logistics related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of related working experience in Automotive Parts business.
- Min 5 years of related working experience with Customs and Free Trade Zone operations.
- Experience in Supply Chain or Logistics Management.
- Experience in Customer Relationship Management.
- Experience in Team Management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong capability in verbal and written command of English across a geographical dispersed audience.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Laws, regulations and guidelines of National Customs and Free Trade Zone Operations.
- Excellent computer skills especially in MS Office - Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Added advantage to possess SAP knowledge in CRM, ECC, TM, SCM modules.
