Develop and drive the company's new business opportunities in base and precious metals trading and recycling.
Identify and differentiate the various types of catalytic converters available in the markets of operating countries.
Conduct profitability analyses for converter purchases, ensuring cost efficiency and maintaining profitable business transactions.
Recommend and implement growth strategies by identifying and expanding the client base across all business countries to enhance both volume collection and profit margins.
Initiate regular meetings with clients and vendors to build strong rapport and maintain long-term business relationships.
Ensure all business development activities comply with the company's marketing policies.
Oversee and drive debt recovery efforts for clients or vendors with overdue payments.
What You'll Do (Marketing):
Conduct regular competitor analyses to stay informed of current market developments.
Attend trade events and conferences to keep updated on market trends, government regulations, and competitors' activities, ensuring all KPIs align with company marketing policies.
Submit sales and activity reports on a fortnightly basis to the Business Development Manager.
Achieve the company's business development KPIs, including revenue and profit goals, within the specified timeframe.
Manage and update vendor and client information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System.
Provide market and business development suggestions to support the team's performance.
Perform any ad-hoc duties related to the company's business operations and role requirements.
Educational & Professional Qualifications:
Diploma in any discipline, or candidates with a proven track record and strong references from customers or previous employers will be considered.
Must possess a valid driver's license and own vehicle.
What We're Looking For (Relevant Experiences):
Minimum 3 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within recycling or related industries.
Willingness to travel across Malaysia and regional countries (e.g., Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc.).
Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management Systems.
Proficient in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken) to communicate effectively with Chinese stakeholders, including colleagues and clients.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Goal-driven, resilient, and persistent in achieving success.
Purchasing experience in metal waste management or recycling industries is an advantage.
Understanding of sales and purchasing development processes, with the ability to analyze customer behavior and mentality.
