A newly created Marketing Manager (Retail GLC) job has just been created to support the retail business for a government-linked company.

About the Marketing Manager (Retail GLC) Role:
As the Marketing Manager (Retail GLC), you will need to support the entire marketing plan and execute marketing strategies for the retail business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and implement overall marketing plan and strategy for the company. Be responsible for all PR-related and marketing communication activities
• Develop and monitor the effectiveness of marketing and A&P promotional programmes to strengthen the company\'s image and market position
• Identify and review areas for stronger presence by developing partnerships with external joint marketing partners, loyalty programmes, banks, etc., for win-win exposure, enhance brand awareness and drive shopper traffic to stores
• Drive digital marketing initiatives and social media engagement to increase footfall
• Track results of each marketing and promotional theme for measure of success and follow-up actions

To succeed in this Marketing Manager (Retail GLC) role, you will need to understand the operational complexities of the business and be hands-on. You will need to be able to see both the big and small picture at the same time.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of five years of work experience within the marketing function with notable retailer chains or malls
• Strong stakeholder management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work co-operatively with different functions and departments
• Good understanding of Malaysia retail segment specialising in marketing
