Material Controller
Job Description
Responsibilities: -Responsible for managing the timely receiving of material / items, check, recording, storage and preservation of materials delivered at site in orderly for traceability - Ensures proper storage at construction site along with maintaining update inventory record - Responsible for site material waste and work closely with project team to prevents of material wastage - Coordinate with Purchasing team & QS team on report Coordinate the availability of delivery documentation and feed the storage data base with proper information - Initiate procedures concerning for damage materials deliver and liaise with Purchasing team for claiming - Recording any damage materials due erection - To issue any supply non-conformities and follow up the relevant resolution - To initiate claims for missing materials and / or non-conformity - Supply Project Planner with updated information regarding materials availability at site to support the construction schedule reliability - Inform superior and coordinate about the material status and delivery forecasts in order to verify the feasibility of construction schedules - Managing the delivery of materials to subcontractors in accordance with material list presented by the same and according to the instructions given by the superior - Keeping records about the handling of materials - Recording of surplus materials if any
