Company Background:

• Our well-established client is MNC specializing in manufacturing electronic components, modules, and systems with factories and offices over 30 countries. They are looking for a dynamic and result oriented candidate to fill their current job opening of Material Planner Officer/Senior Planner, to be based in Tebrau, Johor Bharu.

Functional Description (Goal and Purpose of the job):

• To plan, monitor and reschedule to ensure the supply of direct and indirect materials to meet the requirement of production.
• To control inventory to achieve inventory target.

Job Responsibilities:

• Determine the required demand and generate purchase order.
• To plan, schedule and oversee the delivery of materials to ensure the consistent and adequate supply of direct and indirect materials for production.
• Tracking production requirement and monitor the trends of demand.
• To work closely with SQM to ensure the release of raw materials on time for production use.
• To liaise closely with R&D, Purchasing and production on material replacement and BOM update to ensure smooth and uninterrupted phase-in.
• To plan, maintain raw materials quantity at optimum level and monitor them to prevent obsolescence.
• To identify slow moving or obsolete material, feedback to respective department to take appropriate action to clear them.
• Logistics functions related to sales orders and materials planning.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Business Administration / Any Discipline.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience in Manufacturing Environment.
• SAP Knowledge preferred / Microsoft (Excel/Word).
• Able to communicate efficiently in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
• Mandarin speaking candidates is required for this role as need to deal with China counterparts.
• Candidate must be willing to work in Tebrau, Johor Bharu.
