: Mechanical Engineer

Position Summary

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and supervising mechanical systems and installations for the project. The role involves preparing technical documents, coordinating with clients and contractors, and ensuring all work complies with relevant standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct mechanical design, calculations, and technical evaluations according to project requirements. Prepare and review mechanical drawings, specifications, method statements, and other technical documents. Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping, equipment installation, and related works. Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor site progress, resolve technical issues, and provide engineering support to the site team. Ensure all mechanical works are carried out according to approved drawings, codes, standards, and project quality requirements. Conduct inspections and prepare reports, including progress reports and technical assessments. Assist in preparing tender documents, BOQs, cost estimates, and technical proposals when required. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times. Attend project meetings and provide updates to the project manager.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification. Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical systems or construction projects (experience may vary based on company needs). Strong understanding of mechanical standards, codes, and design principles. Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other mechanical design software. Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Willing to travel or work on-site when required.

Additional Preferred Skills (Optional)

Experience in M&E projects, data centers, industrial plants, or manufacturing facilities. Familiarity with local building regulations and authority submission processes. Knowledge of project management practices.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
