About the job Senior Mechanical Engineer
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise and engineering support in mechanical design, installation, and maintenance for upstream oil and gas projects. The role involves ensuring that all mechanical systems, equipment, and facilities meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The engineer will also support project planning, execution, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to achieve efficient and reliable project delivery.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
- Registered Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in upstream oil and gas projects, including at least 5 years as a Senior Engineer in the relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating and static equipment, and piping design.
- Experienced in reviewing mechanical drawings, data sheets, and technical specifications.
- Familiar with relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO).
- Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
