• The Mechanical Field Engineer\xe2\x80\x99s duty is to execute field service work, onshore and offshore as instructed by the MAN supervisor.
• Carry out tasks on new installations, maintenance and repairing activities on turbo compressors, steam turbines, expanders and other rotating equipment as instructed by the Supervisor/Site Manager
• To coordinate the working sites with clients, team members and subcontractors.
• In the absence of Supervisor, independently take over and carry out temporarily the leading tasks at site
• Able to perform service tasks, change bearings, measuring bearing clearances, change couplings, carry out alignment by using dial gauge indicators
• Disassemble/ reassemble rotating equipment on site including recording all the required data and proper marking of all the parts
• Ensure that all findings and work is clearly reported in writing
• Responsible for the quality, safety and work performanc

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree/ higher diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with experience > 7 years in rotating equipment (turbo compressor, steam turbine and expander)
• Very good knowledge of Rotating Equipment (compressors, steam turbine and expanders)
• Experience in reading technical documents, instructions, sketches/explanation of details and cross sectional drawings
• Good reporting skills and reporting any findings in the field in writing.
• Skill and understands how to use measuring tools like dial indicator, Vernier caliper and micrometer.
• Advanced analytical thinking, independent, punctual, resolute, hands-on mentality, can handle stress and difficult situations in a calm manner.
• Good communication skills and understands in English in conversation with clients subcontractors and other staff at site.
• Prepared to travel and work under sometimes difficult conditions.
