Job Description

we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Foreman to lead our team of mechanical engineers and technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in the management of people and projects. He or she will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the team, as well as the planning and execution of mechanical engineering projects. The Mechanical Foreman will also be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

1.Schedule and coordinate the work of a team of mechanics engaged in repairing, installing, and maintaining machinery, equipment, and tools
2.Oversee the ordering of necessary parts and supplies to complete projects on time
3.Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
4.Train new employees in proper safety procedures and company policies
5.Investigate customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them
Assist in the development of annual budgets for the mechanical department
6.Develop long-range plans for the replacement of aging equipment
7.Prepare reports detailing the progress of ongoing projects
8.Recommend changes in methods or materials to improve efficiency and effectiveness
9.Confer with other foremen and managers to discuss project status and personnel issues
10.Serve as liaison between workers and management
11.Perform administrative duties such as preparing time cards and ordering supplies

Required Skills and Qualifications

1.High school diploma or equivalent
2.Proven experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
3.Working knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment
4.Excellent problem-solving skills
5.Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6.Ability to work independently and as part of a team
