Job Purpose

The Medical Officer is responsible for providing primary healthcare services in the clinic, including consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients. The role also involves health education, preventive care, and ensuring the smooth running of daily clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide medical consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients of all ages. Prescribe and dispense medication in accordance with approved medical guidelines. Manage acute and chronic illnesses commonly seen in general practice. Perform minor procedures as required (e.g., wound care, injections, medical check-ups). Attend to medical emergencies within the clinic's capacity. Maintain proper medical records and documentation. Advise patients on preventive healthcare, healthy lifestyle, and follow-up plans. Support health screenings, vaccination programs, and medical check-ups. Ensure compliance with clinic policies, regulations, and professional ethics.

Requirements

Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent). Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) with a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC). Experience in primary care / general practice preferred. Good communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues. Able to work independently and handle emergencies. Friendly, patient-oriented, and committed to quality care. Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required.

Work Conditions

Based at GP clinic. May include shift work, weekends, and public holidays depending on clinic schedule. Can start mid of early November or December
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
