MEP Coordinator - Setia City Mall Key Responsibilities Assisting Operations Manager / Building Manager in effective operation of M&E system; Air- conditioning system inclusive chiller, sewerage system, mechanical & electrical system, lighting and housekeeping. Identify opportunities for improvement in operations and maintenance of M&E systems and plan for implementation. Coordinate rectification and upgrading works carried in the shopping mall in line with Safety & Health policy. Assist with supervision of day-to-day operation and maintenance of the building by attending to all general maintenance and operations issues as may be directed, with specific emphasis on electrical, water, air conditioning and mechanical ventilation system as well as general building matters. Ensure departmental response time objective is achieved by supervising staff, organizing and monitoring work process and attend to and resolve tenants\' request pertaining to M&E issues with tact and promptness. Understanding of structural design and tenants needs to assist in coordinating, monitor & support fit-out team on renovation works and resolve fit out & building issues. Assist with troubleshooting of electrical, plumbing and air conditioning system of the building. Work closely with operation colleagues to achieve successful day to day operation in Mall. Coordinate rectification of escalators and elevators to reduce downtime, ensure safety compliance and minimize interruption to mall patron. Familiarize all the service contracts especially escalators and lift to schedule on-site maintenance service and other technical support. Oversee in purchasing of maintenance spare part and recommend suitable material to Purchasing Department. Maintain good relations with relevant statutory bodies i.e. MBSA, TNB, Bomba, DOSH and etc Assist with emergency evacuation procedures and other crisis management situations Participate in the Duty Manager roster as required - late night/weekend and public holiday shifts. Drive sustainability goals including waste/recycling, energy, and water efficiencies as per Mall current exercise standards Requirements Diploma / Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Facilities/Building Management or in relevant specialized field. Minimum 5 years working experience in facilities/building management and M&E maintenance, preferably in shopping mall or service industry or similar capacity Candidate need to be equipped with strong coordination skills and be prepared to multitask in a day to day busy Mall Operation. Possess leadership quality and always sustaining to strive high level of team work Able to work independently while maintaining strong relationship with all related discipline Managers and Staff.
