Job Purpose

To effectively support IS Japan by working collaboratively with other relevant departments in IS both locally and globally, other AIG Japan Business Units (BUs) and vendor partners.

Job Responsibilities

• Build effective collaboration across teams and other IS departments to move initiatives forward with our IT partners and users
• Work with third party vendors to manage service delivery method, resources, timing and location
• Develops and maintain a productive working relationship with key stakeholders, project sponsors, and vendors. Works with all levels of staff and management both internally and externally.
• Identify/Propose opportunities to improve and mature IS Japan\xe2\x80\x99s engagement with our IT colleagues and end users
• Participation of IS Assessments and System Design proposals following Fintech Best Practices
• Secondary Technical Skills required to complement Group Peer Managers roles and functions
• Related to the above responsibility, act as Checker Peer with benefit to enforce control function among Department Managers for both day to day and project delivery work
• Provide Operations, Risk and Control, Vendor Oversight process improvements
• Reference and Key Leader for Infrastructure Design and Architecture review for System Modernization
• Other AIG Regional/International assignments for both BAU and Projects activities

Required Skills and Experiences

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or higher degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience

Specific Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge or hands on professional experience of:

• General Understanding of Unix Operating Systems (AIX, RHEL, Solaris)
• System automation through script language (OS shell, Perl, Python)
• Clustering (Veritas) and High availability design
• Vulnerability Management Process
• Infrastructure and Application based Resiliency Architecture

Total Experience

• Native/Fluent level Japanese and business or above level English
• Demonstrated ability to identify, understand and communicate business needs
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical people
• Ability to adapt to change and manage in an uncertain environment
• Someone who understands the IT environment and associated tools
• Good organization, planning, and execution skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
