Responsible to assist the Chief Design Engineer in ensuring tool designing process and design team to achieve high quality and efficiency through strategic resources management to ensure optimum end results.
Responsible to actively involve and execute the research and development, continuous improvement/Kaizen initiatives and effective problem solving to enhance tool design
quality and to meet or exceed customer\'s expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are to report to Chief Design Engineer in tool design related functions.
Responsible to execute of tool design project.
Coordinate with engineering team and customer to resolve technical issue for tool design.
Execute the day to day tool design operation.
Responsible to ensure quality plans are effectively executed and responded.
Operate the design software, equipment and hardware to meet the high quality of tool design requirements.
Measure, report and improve design efficiencies, productivity, quality, waste and defect level in line with company targets and objectives.
Responsible for execution to achieve capacity optimization and cost control.
Active involvement in participating and execute improvement leading to higher quality achievement and customers satisfaction.
Ensure there is adequate resource to efficiently run the tool designing process whilst helping the team and ensuring training and competence is evident.
Efficient resources utilization include but not limited to manpower, machinery, equipment, and materials.
Implement corrective and preventive measures to mitigate or avoid design operational risks.
Ensure adherence to company system, standard operation procedures, health and safety
and good manufacturing practices systems within all production processes.
Lead and motivate subordinates to achieve company and personal goals.
Academic Qualification:
Preferably with Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design with
molding or tooling exposure.
Work Experience: Minimum 3 Years of working experience in manufacturing environment especially in
metal stamping, metal fabrication operation. Well verse in tool design software not limited to NX6.
Others: Hands on experiences in managing design engineer and processes in a highly demanding
manufacturing environment. Communicate effectively with good leadership.
