Key Responsibilities:

Provide

database administration support

with a focus on MS-SQL databases in cloud and on-premise environments. Perform

database maintenance, housekeeping, and troubleshooting

. Identify and resolve

database performance issues

, including SQL query tuning, indexing optimization, and configuration adjustments. Handle

incident, problem, and change management

for database-related issues. Conduct

capacity planning, system performance analysis, and resource monitoring

. Develop and maintain

database administration documentation

and troubleshooting guides. Install, configure, and manage

database migrations, upgrades, and patches

. Monitor database systems to ensure

high availability and performance

. Support

backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning

. Perform

SQL programming

and scripting for batch processes. Provide technical support to

application developers

regarding data flow, reliability, and standards. Participate in an

on-call rotation

to ensure 24/7 database availability. Implement and maintain

MS-SQL high availability and disaster recovery solutions

. Ensure

compliance with data protection and security regulations

.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

5+ years of experience

in MS-SQL database administration. Hands-on experience with

Google Cloud and/or Azure Cloud PaaS subscriptions

. Strong skills in

database backup/recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning

. Experience in

database installation, configuration, patching, and migrations

. Basic knowledge of

MS-SQL HA solutions, data transfer, and space management

. Experience in

SQL programming and batch scripting

. Strong understanding of

database security and network encryption

. Ability to analyze performance reports and troubleshoot issues effectively.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of additional database technologies (

PostgreSQL, Oracle

). Understanding of

IT security practices

and cloud key rotation. Familiarity with

software methodology, processes, and quality assurance

. Self-motivated with a

passion for learning new technologies

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
