Responsible for leading a team of sales representatives & Sales managers to achieve sales objectives for Malaysia while operating within the Company\xe2\x80\x99s policies / procedures and the assigned expense budget. Person will develop and manage business/sales plans that align with the company\xe2\x80\x99s annual goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Business Unit Director and marketing team to design and implement business plan, product portfolio strategy.
The role holder is accountable for the achievement of the assigned sales objectives through the Smith & Nephew organizations and through the Smith & Nephew appointed distributors in Malaysia.
Participation in the development of the business/sales strategy for profitable sales growth and effective communication of the strategy to Sales staff and Distributor teams to ensure its implementation
The incumbent is responsible for setting sales targets for the business, territory, and sales individuals, drive key/core products to meet or exceed the sales growth objectives.
Determine country revenue and profit for the business by reviewing sales records and reports to determine profitability
Direct the sales team in reaching a sales targets, developing new business and maintaining customer satisfaction
Reporting on sales performance, business prospects, market trends, and competitor activity.
Keeping abreast of competitors and what they are doing.
Manage and support the product portfolio with marketing teams
Training, counselling, motivating and skill development of the team members.
Ensuring ethical promotion of products to medical practitioners and hospitals. Ensure that self and all team members comply with \xe2\x80\x98Code of Ethics\xe2\x80\x99 as prescribed by the company from time to time.
Formulation of local promotional programs in consultation with (Head Office) HO Marketing
Local pricing flexibility within norms prescribed by the company
Deciding on geographical & key account coverage, Standard Tour Planning, Customer data base for self and team members in consultation with all stakeholders
To always act in a responsible manner to avoid risk to self or to the company and comply with the workplace safety and health and security policy.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent education
10-15 years relevant sales & management experience in Medical/ healthcare industry.
Proven track record of sales success.
