Network and System Administrator

Job Summary:

The Network and System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and securing our network and system infrastructure. You will manage network configurations, ensure optimal system uptime, and handle troubleshooting, all while implementing best practices for IT security and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Ensure high network availability, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize network performance. Install, configure, and maintain servers, virtual machines, and cloud-based solutions. Monitor system performance, perform regular backups, and ensure data recovery procedures are in place. Implement and enforce security protocols, monitor for unauthorized access, and handle data breaches. Support users by troubleshooting system issues, providing technical support, and resolving IT service requests. Ensure all software and firmware are updated and patched according to security and compliance standards. Collaborate with the IT team to assess new technology needs, plan upgrades, and support project implementations. Document network configurations, system procedures, and IT policies for reference and compliance.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 3+ years of experience in network and systems administration, preferably in a BPO or similar environment Strong knowledge of network and system management tools Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) Familiarity with network protocols, firewall management, VPNs, and remote access solutions Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills:

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) Experience with IT automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) and network monitoring systems Familiarity with disaster recovery and backup solutions
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
