Role Summary

The Network & Systems Security Engineer (Junior Level) is responsible for the holistic security of our clients' environments, bridging the gap between Network Security and Server/System Administration. You will identify vulnerabilities, manage WAF and servers, respond to incidents, and act as a technical advisor to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Security Engineering & Implementation

Plan, implement, manage, and upgrade security measures to protect customer data, systems, and networks (on-premises and cloud). Enhance system and network infrastructure by implementing cyber security initiatives, including IAM/PAM, firewalls, and encryption standards. Design and configure network security architectures, including VPNs, SD-WAN, SASE, and firewall policies. Perform OS hardening, patch management, and vulnerability mitigation for Linux/Unix and Windows architectures.

2. Monitoring, Diagnosis & Incident Response

Analyze security logs and events (SIEM) to provide threat analysis reports and actionable insights. Identify and troubleshoot network and system faults to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of data. Respond promptly to security incidents, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Monitor traffic and performance using tools such as Wireshark and network monitoring solutions.

3. Strategic & Business-Focused

Act as a Security Subject Matter Expert (SME), consulting customers on security standards, best practices, and risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate with pre-sales teams to develop technical strategies that address customer business needs. Prepare detailed reports, SOPs, and technical documentation regarding security threats, technical faults, and resolution actions.

Requirement:

Diploma / Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Network Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, Network Infrastructure, or System Administration. Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of initiatives. Effective communication skills (written & oral) for customer-facing interactions. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-vendor environment. Office location : Damansara Intan, Petaling Jaya

Networking: Are you experienced with routing/switching, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, DNS, NAT, VPN, MPLS, and SD-WAN? Systems: Are you proficient in Linux/Unix and Windows OS, including virtualization in production environments? Cloud Security: Are you familiar with AWS, Azure, or GCP, and security features like encryption, MFA, IDPS, SWG, CDN, DNS controls, and serverless environments? Experience:

Cybersecurity, Network Infra, or Sys Administration: 2 years (Preferred)
