Job Description

Our Client : A Swedish publicly listed group, currently working with leading global OEMs in exciting industries such as consumer electronics, home appliances, telecommunications and automotive. Industry : Manufacturing / Production Location : Penang Science Park, Penang Tenure : Permanent, Full Time

• Generate first article for customer qualification before mass production run.
• Prepare project Gantt and setup cross function project team.
• Ensure timely implementation of First Article project.
• Review customer drawings, bill of materials and specification.
• Conduct DFM, process capability study for product design and requirement.
• Develop process flow, bill of material and process drawing for new product.
• Review product drawing and development/process drawing.
• Develop packaging standard and instruction for the product
• Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to project.
• Resolve / escalate technical issues arise during product sample preparation stage.
• Develop, analyze, and record permanent solution for any problem encountered during project implementation
• Prepare, coordinate & conduct post project review.
• Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs
• Maintain consistent application of company policies, procedures and shop floor rules.
• Any other responsibility which may be assigned from time to time by superior.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from recognised university
• 2 years relevant experience in NPI role
• Computer literate including design software (AutoCad or Solidwork) and programming
• Strong systems skills, including common office platforms such as MS Office, along with strong analytical skills
• Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines
• Ability to evaluate, prioritise and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers
