About the Department

The obesity therapy area is a fast-growing business unit in Novo Nordisk and makes the largest part of the future portfolio. The Novo Nordisk Pharma Malaysia team is a group of highly motivated people passionate about changing obesity, and we are expanding.

The Position

This role will report to the Obesity Field Sales Manager.

As the forerunner of your territory, you will be bound to design development and implement the business plan for your geographical area to ensure company objectives are achieved. You will measure, track, evaluate and present key metrics: prescription depth and breadth planning and reporting; effort inquiry, and budget management including return on investment.

In this role, you are expected to:

  • Contribute to the national business plan by achieving sales goals through the implementation of marketing and sales strategies aimed at effectively selling and promoting Novo Nordisk product(s) to healthcare practitioners
  • Take an entrepreneurial approach and you will be expected to operate with a high level of freedom
  • Demonstrate a high level of awareness of customer needs, anticipate and adapt action plans to maximize opportunities and address demand, excelling in making things happen through diligent and timely follow-up
  • Work across different external stakeholders including but not limited to physicians, pharmacists, and hospital management
  • Demonstrate cross-functional team working across Obesity Business Unit and beyond to maximize the sales of Novo Nordisk products
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a science or business-related subject or equivalent, with a minimum 3 years of experience in Sales within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a proven track record based on exceptional commercial acumen and selling skills
  • Having sales experience for an out-of-pocket or over-the-counter product is a plus, must have proven management and engaged ability, and must have an entrepreneurship mindset, you are a strong Influencer and exceptional team player.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written), and must posses intermediate computer skills required (Windows, Word, Excel); prior computer experience using sales data/call reporting software is ideal
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to evaluate options and make judgments on your own with minimal supervision, has aptitude for learning and ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information, as well as a value proposition for the product(s) under the duty, and has proactivity, accountability, and openness to the objection will be key to being able to deliver on plans
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel
