Key Responsibilities

Planning and Scheduling

Optimize fleet allocation based on container volume, routes, and driver availability. Coordinate with customers to understand their delivery requirements and ensure schedules meet their expectations.

Load and Route Optimization:

Plan routes to minimize fuel consumption, reduce transit times, and maximize truckload utilization. Use TMS (Transportation Management Systems) or route planning software for efficient planning.

Communication and Coordination:

Act as the primary point of contact between drivers, customers, and internal teams. Liaise with warehouse staff, port authorities, and transport companies for smooth operations. Monitor and address delays or disruptions in real time.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure all planned operations comply with regulations, including vehicle weight limits, driver hours, and road safety standards. Prepare and maintain documentation such as delivery orders, route plans, and service reports. Verify driver logs and trip documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, and vehicle utilization.

Fleet and Resource Management:

Assign drivers and vehicles based on availability and requirements.

Customer Service:

Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to haulage operations promptly. Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining high service levels and timely communication.

Key Skills and Competencies

Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and route optimization software. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or related field. Experience in haulage planning or transportation coordination is preferred. Familiarity with containerized logistics and port operations is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
