Operations Director

Job description

This rapidly expanding global semiconductor manufacturer in Malacca is seeking for an Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, oversee and spearhead key output-focused programs & cost-saving intiatives within the company and Global Functional Groups in the area of cost, yield and quality improvement of wafer fab, assembly and test.
• Lead cross functional teams in a matrix organization. Ensure that the right people, skills, and work environment exists to be successful.
• Clearly define the goals and success criteria of new projects/programs and gain approval from all key stakeholders and BU Management.
• Support resolution of operational problems impacting business revenueSt.
• Drive cost/yield improvement initiatives within Business unit and Global manufacturing.
• Present yield improvement strategies, executions tracking and progress reports. Communicate consistently and effectively to all stakeholder.
• Provide lead support and coordination for any and all other Business Units, PSG or

business operations activities through project management and data analysis.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic/ Industrial/ Others) or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 to 20 years working experience in semiconductor field, with high emphasis in Operations & Production.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO14001.
• Matured interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and lead teams.
• Can communicate with confidence to Management and to customers in fluent English.
• Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to lead multiple teams consisting of Sr Managers and Managers in order to effectively delegate tasks, drive change, and inspire a quality driven environment.
