Monitor and manage transportation routes, schedules, and delivery times to ensure efficiency.

Implement logistics strategies and plans in alignment with company goals and customer expectations.
Team Leadership and Development:
Manage and lead the logistics team, including warehouse staff, drivers, and coordinators.
Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance skills and improve performance.
Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
Conduct regular performance reviews and implement strategies to improve team performance and morale.
Inventory and Warehouse Management:
Oversee inventory levels, ensuring stock accuracy, product availability, and efficient storage solutions.
Implement effective inventory control practices and minimize stock-outs, overstock, and wastage.
Supervise warehouse operations, including order picking, packing, labeling, and shipping.
Ensure proper use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for efficient inventory tracking and storage management.
Transportation and Fleet Management:
Manage the fleet of vehicles, including scheduling maintenance, tracking fuel usage, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Oversee transportation carriers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to ensure cost-effective and timely transportation.
Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to plan, track, and optimize routes.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all operations comply with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials (if applicable) and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential operational risks.
Cost Control and Budgeting:
Develop and manage operational budgets, tracking spending and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
Analyze cost data and implement strategies to optimize logistics costs and improve operational efficiency.
Evaluate and implement new technology or processes to reduce costs and enhance productivity.
Customer Relations and Service:
Maintain strong relationships with clients and customers, ensuring their logistics needs are met.
Act as the main point of contact for operational issues and work with the customer service team to resolve any complaints or service disruptions.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by meeting delivery timelines, managing expectations, and responding to inquiries.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the logistics and supply chain operations.
Implement lean logistics practices to minimize waste and increase operational efficiency.
Lead projects to introduce new technologies or systems aimed at improving logistics performance.
Reporting and Analysis:
Regularly report on operational performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, costs, inventory accuracy, and employee performance.
Conduct data analysis and provide insights to senior management for decision-making.
Implement corrective actions based on performance reviews and customer feedback.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, Six Sigma, PMP) are a plus.
Experience:
At least 5-7 years of experience in logistics, operations management, or supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven experience in managing transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
Skills:
Strong understanding of logistics operations, supply chain management, and inventory control.
Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP systems like SAP or Oracle).
