A leading retail chain in Malaysia offering a wide range of affordable products is currently seeking a proactive Operations Manager, International Warehouse & Distribution. In this job, you must have end-to-end warehousing experience to oversee their international warehouse and distribution operations.

About the Operations Manager, International Warehouse & Distribution Role:
As the Operations Manager, International Warehouse & Distribution, your primary responsibility is to provide clear directions and guidance to international warehouse subordinates regarding daily routines and reporting methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support managers and stakeholders in all operational aspects to achieve desired supply chain business results
• Assist in troubleshooting any system issues within the international warehouse to ensure smooth operations
• Identify and communicate any issues or concerns from the warehouse to top management
• Mentor and guide the local warehouse team on reporting requirements specified by the top management
• Drive cross-functional teams to implement process changes and improvement initiatives
• Analyse performance, capacity, and forecast planning of international warehouse distribution, and propose operational changes accordingly
• Collaborate and coordinate with the local warehouse manager to implement new projects and update warehouse processes
• Assist the warehouse department in reviewing work processes and proposing appropriate solutions to address any arising issues
• Foster strong relationships and integration between the warehouse department and other departments\' project plans and operations
• Coach and guide warehouse team members during new project implementations, such as warehouse shifts, new warehouse setups, and stock takes
• Oversee project deliveries, making necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to specifications and high standards
• Monitor project progress and timelines across team members to meet project objectives
• Demonstrate willingness to travel internationally to support new warehouse setups, expansion projects, and other assigned tasks

To succeed in this Operations Manager, International Warehouse & Distribution role, you will need to have a minimum of four years of experience in managing end-to-end warehousing operations.

Key Requirements:

• Willingness to relocate internationally to provide operational support
• Possess a minimum of four to five years of relevant experience in warehouse operations
• Show understanding and respect for cultural sensitivities, particularly in international and cross-cultural interactions
• Exemplary leadership, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in both operational and strategic planning
• Demonstrated effectiveness and efficiency in work performance
• Strong command of written and spoken English, as well as proficiency in MS Office
• Fluency in multiple languages is considered advantageous
• Capable of identifying work process issues and implementing improvements
