A leading retail company is seeking a Senior Manager of Warehouse & Distribution (Retail). In this job, you will oversee the importation of products (shipping), warehousing, planning (inventory replenishment and management) and distribution.

About the Senior Manager of Warehouse & Distribution (Retail) Role:
In this role, you will be handling all matters related to logistics and distribution operations to optimise the level of performance and to exceed expectations at lowest possible cost.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead logistics operations which covers importation, warehousing, inventory planning/replenishment and distribution
• Lead, initiate logistics and supply chain projects to increase efficiency, productivity and cost control/optimisation
• Monitor and improve all KPIs related to planning, warehouse productivity, inventory management, transportation costs and all logistics costs control
• Negotiate optimal rates and service levels for all inbound shipments and nominated third party logistics
• Manage third party logistics service providers, evaluate selection of shipment modes, work with liners and custom brokers to expedite shipments
• Provide detailed analysis of the logistics structure freight and shipping profile to negotiate rates and service levels with domestic, local and international couriers
• Manage the overall strategy and execution of distribution management
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide effective distribution activities
• Lead the inventory planning to maximise order fulfilment by maintaining healthy inventory levels and ensure timely placing of purchase orders to internal and external parties
• Advise on e-commerce flow, fulfilment, processes and operations based on industry knowledge and experience
• Maintain an accurate and organised warehouse inventory, operations and ensure that inventory process flow allows stock movement with maximum efficiency and productivity
• Ensure that the warehouse policies and best practices are in place and followed by the warehouse team

To succeed in this Senior Manager of Warehouse & Distribution (Retail) role, you will need to have relevant experience in leading logistics operations in retail industry.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain/Logistics or related field of study
• 9 - 14 years of work experience in importation, warehousing and distribution within retail, e-commerce, FMCG, pharmaceutical fulfilment industry
• Sound logistics knowledge in terms of theoretical and methodical perspective and able to apply these to practical operations
• Strong analytical skills, influential, operations process driven and focused on accuracy
• Able to resolve conflicts, strong sense of urgency, proactive and possess the foresight to plan ahead for the business
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong stakeholder management capability to communicate effectively with other functional heads
