Job Type: Full-time Curtin University Malaysia - Elevating Student Experiences Are you a dynamic and innovative leader with a passion for delivering exceptional Food & Beverage (F&B) and retail experiences Curtin University Malaysia is seeking a highly motivated Manager of F&B, Retail Operations, Fleet Management and Administration to join our vibrant campus community. This pivotal role involves overseeing and elevating all aspects of our F&B and retail outlets, including the venues management, as well as managing the university fleet of vehicles, records & archives and other general campus administration contributing to an enriching campus environment. Overview: As the Manager of F&B, Retail Operations, Fleet Management and Administration, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall student experience and supporting our mission to provide a world-class education environment. This multifaceted role includes strategic planning, operational management, financial stewardship, menu and product development, customer experience, staff development, marketing, as well as the management of the university fleet of vehicle, records and archive and general campus administration. Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for F&B and retail outlets, aligning with the university\'s overall objectives. Detail planning, promoting and managing to maximise the usage of the campus venues. Identify opportunities to enhance offerings, improve customer experience, and drive revenue growth. 2. Financial Management: Provide effective leadership to the F&B and retail teams, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused environment. Oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships to ensure consistent availability of products. 3. Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets for each outlet, tracking expenses, revenues, and profitability. Implement cost control measures without compromising service quality. 4. Menu and Product Development: Collaborate with culinary and merchandising teams to create innovative and appealing menus and retail product offerings. Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate them into the outlets\' offerings. 5. Customer Experience: Maintain a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service and responding to customer feedback. Continuously assess and improve the layout, ambience, and customer flow of outlets. 6. Staff Training and Development: Recruit, train, and mentor staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide outstanding service. Foster a positive work environment that encourages growth and employee satisfaction. 7. Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and events to attract and engage the university community. Utilize social media and other platforms to effectively communicate offerings and events. 8. Fleet Management Oversee the management of the university fleet of vehicle ensuring efficient and safe transportation services for the campus community. Coordination of schedules, routes and the management of team of support drivers for campus shuttle and other transportation requests. 9. Records and Archive Managing the University centralised archives and recordkeeping practices to ensure accurate and secured capture of all university\'s records. Developing and implementation of the records management and records keeping policies and procedures for the registration, circulation, protection and destruction of all university records in adaptation to the Curtin University Record Keeping Policy and other Malaysia regulatory legislation. 10. Other General Campus Administration: Managing other essential campus administration and support services including Mails & Courier centre, general office equipment and graduation regalia. Procurement of campus educational materials, campus souvenirs and other merchandise items. Management of centralised general office stationaries and other consumables for the university. Qualifications and experience: Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field (Master\'s degree preferred). Proven experience in managing multiple F&B and retail outlets, preferably in an educational or hospitality setting. Strong business acumen and financial management skills. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Creativity and ability to innovate in menu and product development. Proficiency in using technology for inventory management and point-of-sale systems. Exceptional communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset. Minimum of 5 years of supervisor experience.
