Summary

We're looking for a

Junior Oracle 19c DBA

to assist in maintaining and supporting Oracle databases. You'll work with senior DBAs to install, monitor, back up, and tune Oracle 19c environments while learning real-world enterprise practices. This role offers hands-on exposure to database operations, troubleshooting, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in installation and configuration of Oracle Database 19c (single-instance & RAC). Support daily monitoring, health checks, and troubleshooting of database systems. Learn and perform basic RMAN backup and restore operations. Help in performance monitoring using AWR, ASH, and ADDM reports. Support database patching, upgrades, and maintenance tasks. Document database changes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Assist with database security, user management, and auditing. Develop simple scripts to automate routine tasks. Collaborate with developers and senior DBAs on database improvements.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Basic understanding of SQL and Oracle Database concepts. Interest in database administration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery. Familiar with Linux operating systems and command-line basics. Eager to learn Oracle technologies (RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, etc.). Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Added Advantage

Internship or academic project involving Oracle Database. Familiarity with scripting (Bash, Python) or automation tools. Exposure to cloud databases or virtualization platforms. Oracle certification or completed Oracle training modules.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
