Oracle Databases on Google Cloud and on-premise Exadata systems
, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. You will mentor other database administrators, manage mission-critical systems, and contribute to a global database operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Oracle databases on Google Cloud, Exadata, and x86 Linux systems.
Perform database maintenance, troubleshooting, and tuning for optimal performance.
Manage incident, problem, and change management processes related to databases.
Conduct capacity planning, performance analysis, and resource utilization monitoring.
Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle databases and related software.
Develop and maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting.
Implement and maintain
Oracle Data Guard
for disaster recovery and high availability.
Manage database backups, restores, and recovery processes using
RMAN
.
Conduct performance tuning and SQL optimization (indexing, query tuning, etc.).
Perform database programming in
SQL/PLSQL
, and develop automation scripts using
Unix shell, Python, or PHP
.
Ensure compliance with data protection and security policies.
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to support critical database operations.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years' experience
in Oracle Database Administration, preferably in large enterprise environments.
Proven experience managing
Oracle 19c or 23ai
on cloud and on-premise systems.
Strong knowledge of
Data Guard, RAC, ASM, RMAN, and performance tuning
.
Experience with
Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
, patch management, and migrations.
Advanced
SQL/PLSQL programming
and scripting skills (Unix shell, PHP, or Python).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably
Google Cloud Platform
).
Knowledge of
TDE encryption
,
TLS network encryption
, and database security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work in a global, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with
PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or Redis

Knowledge of
Oracle APEX
setup and development.
Exposure to
Oracle 23c
and emerging database technologies.
