Job Description
Key Activities:
Database Administration support with main focus Oracle databases on Google cloud or on-premise x86 Linux systems and Exadata engineered systems. Database Maintenance, housekeeping, troubleshooting. Incident, problem and change management of database-related incidents and problems, both in collaboration with other technical teams. Installation, configuration and lifecycle migrations/upgrades and patch management. SQL (PLSQL) database programming ( packages / procedures / functions). unix, PHP, python shell scripting.
Qualifications:
2-10 years of experience in Oracle database administration. Demonstrated proficiency in backup/recovery and monitoring Oracle 19c or 23ai. Skilled in database performance tuning related to configuration and application code. Capable of database installation, configuration, and patching. Experienced with Oracle's High Availability solutions, including Data Guard and RAC. Proficient in RMAN operations, data transfer/extracts, and ASM filesystem management. Knowledgeable in user management and OEM monitoring, with experience analyzing performance reports. Possesses advanced scripting skills in Unix, PHP, Python, and SQL (PLSQL). Familiar with database security, TDE encryption, and TLS network encryption.
