About the Role

The OSH Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment within the hotel premises. This includes identifying potential hazards, implementing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with local regulations to prevent accidents and promote employee well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Inspections & Audits

: Regularly inspect hotel facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Risk Assessment

: Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.

Training & Awareness

: Organize and conduct safety training sessions for hotel staff to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.

Incident Investigation

: Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.

Compliance Monitoring

: Ensure compliance with local Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and other relevant regulations.

Emergency Preparedness

: Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid protocols.

Reporting

: Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, incidents, and corrective actions taken.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health, or related field. Certified Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with a valid "Green Book" issued by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH). Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is advantageous. Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
