Job description
Purpose of the job

• Reporting to Commercial SFM & Bistro Manager, this associate role is responsible for attracting visitors to the stores by encouraging IKEA store visitors to stay longer and enjoy more.
• Strives towards making people smile and build trust for the IKEA store among customers, co-workers, and suppliers. He / She also provides irresistible food offers in a welcoming atmosphere that gives our customers a good reason to return.

Your assignment

• Greets all customers with fast, friendly, personalized service and develops a rapport with our customers by learning their names, favourite drinks and food items. To take care of the well-being of the customers in our IKEA Cafe with questions in a friendly way.
• Adhere to existing operating procedures and ensure high levels of Quality, Service and Cleanliness in the Cafe and your work area.
• Render an accurate cash registry of sales transactions when required.
• Check on stock inventory and maintain stock accuracy in the system
• Optimise sales through up-selling and add on sales.
• Ensure conformance to Food Safety and Hygiene practices, actively practice First-In-First-Out (FIFO) in all products to ensure proper rotation of freshness and quality in the area of food preparation
• Execute store operations and do your part to ensure operations are in line with the Functional Commercial Review Standards
• Weighs grinds and packs coffee per customers\xe2\x80\x99 orders according to guidelines.
• Sells and serves baked goods and miscellaneous food items to customers.

• Provides superior services and promotes a friendly, comfortable environment by providing fast and friendly service.
• Service-minded and always keeping the customer in focus
• Sales-driven and enthusiastic about working with others in a team
• Able to work on rotating shifts, public holidays and weekends
• Able to work in fast-paced environment
