WorldFish and the Alliance are part of CGIAR, the world\xe2\x80\x99s largest agricultural innovation network, whose mission is to \xe2\x80\x9cend hunger by 2030 through science to transform food, land and water systems under threat of climate change.\xe2\x80\x9d ABOUT THE POSITION The Partnership Specialist will work under the direct supervision of the Managing Director, Asia and the overall guidance of Global Director, Partnerships & Communications. The successful candidate has key responsibilities in the following areas: \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide operational support in resource mobilization efforts in Southeast Asian countries. \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to intelligence gathering and monitor country-level fundraising trends, and policy changes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Pursue opportunities for the Alliance together with the research teams, Regional Managing Director and Partnerships Team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Actively engage with the scientific community and in particular with research teams operating in the region in supporting them in their engagement with partners and funders. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop bespoke external engagement material working together with the regional Communications Specialist. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support partnership resources development and internal communication efforts, including serving as a champion and resource to scientists and their teams to comply with the institutional Proposal Development Process (PDP). \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to developing and continuously improving knowledge products, including support materials and guidance documents. \xe2\x80\xa2 Capture and maintain accurate and update information in the Partnerships Team Registry tool. \xe2\x80\xa2 Keep track of relevant international events, development priorities, and international cooperation agreements. Requirements This job might be for you if you have the below skills and qualifications: Essential requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree preferably in communications, marketing, international relations, public policy, journalism, or another relevant technical field. \xe2\x80\xa2 Minimum (5) years of experience in partnerships, resource mobilization, project management, and policy advocacy. Previous working experience related to the financial environment in Singapore is desirable. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience working in interdisciplinary programmes related to agriculture, environment and development studies preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with international cooperation and/or international organizations will be valued. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong knowledge of and experience with exercising diplomatic language. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with people at all levels and build consensus in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Fluency in English is essential to communicate in writing and speaking. Key Competencies \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrate initiative and creativity in reaching and enthusing new and existing partners and working in a multi-stakeholder environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrated ability to build and maintain, positive, cooperative and effective relationships with among research teams, management team, and various government and non-government partners including funders. \xe2\x80\xa2 Must be able to work independently with little supervision, but also participate as a team member in the accomplishment of duties. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work in a multicultural environment and communicate effectively with scientists and interdisciplinary teams team member in the accomplishment of duties. \xe2\x80\xa2 Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to deliver on-time and manage numerous tasks simultaneously. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to multi-task and prioritize between tasks with excellent record keeping and data management skills. This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position and WorldFish offers a competitive remuneration package including comprehensive benefits (but not limited to) insurance coverage for staff and eligible dependents, 15% employer provident fund contribution, paid leave and others. The duration of the contract will initially be for a two-year period with possibility for extension, depending on funding and performance.
