ABOUT THE POSITION

The Partnership Specialist will work under the direct supervision of the Managing Director, Asia and the overall guidance of Global Director, Partnerships & Communications.

The successful candidate has key responsibilities in the following areas:

  • Provide operational support in resource mobilization efforts in Southeast Asian countries.
  • Contribute to intelligence gathering and monitor country-level fundraising trends, and policy changes.
  • Pursue opportunities for the Alliance together with the research teams, Regional Managing Director and Partnerships Team.
  • Actively engage with the scientific community and in particular with research teams operating in the region in supporting them in their engagement with partners and funders.
  • Develop bespoke external engagement material working together with the regional Communications Specialist.
  • Support partnership resources development and internal communication efforts, including serving as a champion and resource to scientists and their teams to comply with the institutional Proposal Development Process (PDP).
  • Contribute to developing and continuously improving knowledge products, including support materials and guidance documents.
  • Capture and maintain accurate and update information in the Partnerships Team Registry tool.
  • Keep track of relevant international events, development priorities, and international cooperation agreements.
Requirements

This job might be for you if you have the below skills and qualifications:
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree preferably in Communications, Marketing, International Relations, Public Policy, Journalism, or another relevant technical field.
  • Minimum (5) years of experience in Partnerships, Resource Mobilization, Project Management, and Policy advocacy. Previous working experience related to the financial environment in Singapore is desirable.
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary programmes related to agriculture, environment and development studies preferred.
  • Experience with international cooperation and/or international organizations will be valued.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with exercising diplomatic language.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with people at all levels and build consensus in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Fluency in English is essential to communicate in writing and speaking.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain, positive, cooperative and effective relationships with among research teams, management team, and various government and non-government partners including funders.
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision, but also participate as a team member in the accomplishment of duties.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and communicate effectively with scientists and interdisciplinary teams team member in the accomplishment of duties.
  • Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to deliver on-time and manage numerous tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize between tasks with excellent record keeping and data management skills.
Benefits

This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position and WorldFish offers a competitive remuneration package including comprehensive benefits (but not limited to) insurance coverage for staff and eligible dependents, 15% employer provident fund contribution, paid leave and others. The duration of the contract will initially be for a two-year period with possibility for extension, depending on funding and performance.
