BENEFITS Yearly profit sharing Medical, personal accident & hospitalization benefits Outstanding career advancement opportunities Annual increment Daily breakfast provided 5 working days per week MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Performing novelty search for proposed new invention / design Drafting patent / industrial design document/application for proposed new invention Managing patent / industrial design portfolios Performing local filings / national-phase filings (from PCT) / foreign filings by liaising with foreign agents. Handling patent / industrial design queries and cost estimates Reporting and responding to the examination report issued by IP Offices local and abroad Conducting other searches/analyses, e.g. freedom-to-operate search, infringement analysis, landscape search, equivalent patent search and legal status research. Please note that this patent executive will also be assisting Senior IP Agent/Lawyer(s) in IP-related matters. All duties will be trained and monitored by the Senior IP Agent/ Lawyer. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronics, Civil Engineering, or any equivalent; 1-3 years of relevant experience in the field of Intellectual Property; Possessing a Patent Agent qualification is an added advantage; Good command of spoken and written English is a must; Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage; Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) is an added advantage; Demonstrates good time management, proactive attitude and eagerness to learn; and Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
