Job Description

Payroll Administrator Job Scope



1. Payroll Processing



Prepare and process monthly, biweekly, or weekly payroll for all employees. Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, wages, overtime, bonuses, and allowances. Verify attendance, leave, and timesheet records before payroll runs. Ensure statutory deductions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/income tax) are correctly applied.

2. Statutory Compliance



Handle submissions to statutory bodies (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, LHDN, HRDF, etc.). Keep up to date with changes in employment laws and statutory contribution rates. Prepare annual forms such as EA (Employee Statement of Remuneration) and Form E for the company.

3. Record Keeping



Maintain and update employee payroll records and confidential information. Manage new hires, resignations, and changes in employee details (bank account, salary, etc.). Generate payroll reports and summaries for management and auditing purposes.

4. Employee Queries & Support



Respond to employees' questions about salary, deductions, and payslips. Resolve payroll discrepancies or errors promptly.

5. Coordination & Reporting



Coordinate with HR on new joiners, terminations, and salary revisions. Work closely with Finance for payroll-related payments and journal entries. Prepare monthly payroll summaries for management review.

Required Skills & Knowledge



Knowledge of payroll systems/software (e.g., SQL Payroll, AutoCount, or Excel). Strong understanding of Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements. Attention to detail and high accuracy. Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information. Good communication and time management skills.

Qualifications



Diploma/Degree in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent. 1-3 years of payroll or HR admin experience preferred.

Supplemental pay types:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
