Role Purpose



The Payroll Assistant will support the Payroll Manager in the accurate and timely processing of multiple payrolls across several divisions and entities. The role will focus on data entry, validation, and compliance checks, while also providing coverage for end-to-end payroll processing during periods of leave. This position requires strong attention to detail, high levels of accuracy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Key Responsibilities



Assist with the preparation and processing of fortnightly payrolls (8-9 separate pay runs, covering 500-600 employees across multiple entities). Enter and validate employee data, timesheets, leave, and allowance information into Roubler payroll system. Support with leave management, timesheet collection, expense reimbursements, and superannuation reporting. Ensure compliance with relevant awards, EBAs, and Fair Work requirements, escalating issues to the Payroll Manager where required. Conduct payroll reconciliations and generate reports for management review. Liaise with department managers to resolve payroll discrepancies and employee queries. Provide end-to-end payroll processing cover during staff absences. Maintain employee payroll records with accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies.

Key Requirements



Demonstrated experience in payroll processing Knowledge of Australian awards and EBAs would be beneficial with the ability to learn, interpret and apply rules being most important Experience using Roubler or the ability to learn new payroll systems quickly. Strong Excel and IT skills (advanced formulas, reconciliations, data analysis). Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with managers and employees. Highly organised with the ability to work to deadlines across multiple payrolls.

Team Structure



Reports directly to the Payroll Manager. Works as part of a central payroll function, supporting multiple business divisions and entities.
Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
