Joining ArupArup\xe2\x80\x99s purpose, shared values and collaborative approach has set us apart for over 75 years, guiding how we shape a better world.As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of Payroll for Malaysia, and Indonesia as well as the Singapore business (in a supporting capacity). The post holder will be an independent and experienced payroll professional that is able to manage a payroll function for the above countries, ensure timely recording, reporting and payment of salary and wages, and related payments for approximately 400 staff.The Opportunity

  • Handling payroll activities for multiple Geographies in the Australasia region (mainly Malaysia and Indonesia) including but not limited to payroll processing for office and site staff, preparation of payroll reports and statutory payments.
  • Responsible for payroll journal preparation and entry into JDE accounting system and reconciliation of local payroll software and JDE system.
  • Providing monthly payroll data to Region Costing for reconciliation.
  • Maintaining and responding to all payroll related queries as first contact and send documentation as required.
  • Compiling assignees data for Ernst & Young (EY) Malaysia to prepare tax return, review the tax computation before instructing to file the return.

  • Relevant industry experience in payroll within a professional services business environment would be preferred.
  • At least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a payroll role.
  • Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines. Working knowledge of Singapore and Indonesia specific legislations would be beneficial.
  • Experience with HR2000 Quick-Pay, Quick-Staff, Oracle software would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Intermediate level of MS Office applications including excel, word, outlook.
