About The Unit Yara Africa & Asia (YAA) produces, sells, distributes and markets fertilizers and industrial products across Asia Pacific and Africa regions, with offices location and operational units in 20 countries. The region employs over 1800 employees and has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, focusing on develop crop nutrition concepts that increase food production and create value to the growers, in particular smallholder farmers, whilst minimizing environmental impact of agricultural activities. YAA is currently undergoing a major transformation, aimed at shifting the existing business models, generating new revenue streams and ultimately delivering profit through new sustainable farming solutions related activities. A disruptive growth agenda has been put in place to accelerate digital adoption, partnerships and improve sustainability and farmer\'s livelihoods in the Region. Responsibilities Assess and anticipate human resources-related needs. Take a coaching approach and provide management information to facilitate effective, consistent, empowering people management - expecting and enabling managers to assume increasing responsibility for all aspects of people management. Provide professional senior level, strategic and operational HR advice on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures, employment legislation, recruitment strategies, and managing change processes, providing risk analysis to support this. Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. To monitor training programs to ensure that training objectives are met. Provide input on workforce and succession planning. To maintain awareness of the culture, plans, financial position, and competition of the business units under the HR purview. Provide guidance and the go-to person in HR policy related matters to all employees. Collaborate with regional and corporate HR to anchor people and culture strategy. Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary. Finding ways to build morale, improve workplace relationships, and boost productivity and retention. To ensure regulatory compliance with legal requirements pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees; collaborate with the legal department when necessary. To provide HR support to both Industrial and Crop Nutrition segment in Malaysia. Profile Applicable degree in HR, Business Administration or Social Sciences Minimum5 years of professional experience within different areas of HR. Forward-thinking and analytical with business understanding and influencing skills Self-driven, structured and detail oriented Track record of developing value-added, pragmatic solutions that are aligned with the overall company strategy
