ROLE SUMMARY

Global Security (GS) provides leadership in the development and implementation of security policies and programs to protect the Company\xe2\x80\x99s personnel, real and intellectual property, reputation, and the integrity of our medicines. This position will assess, prioritize, and implement physical security risk mitigation strategies aligned with critical business operations to ensure the protection of Pfizer\xe2\x80\x99s colleagues, property, and products. Implements Pfizer\xe2\x80\x99s Physical Risk Mitigation (PRM) initiatives which includes physical and technical site-based security standards (internal & external) and associated assessment and audit programs to determine both corporate and regulatory compliance and facilitate remediation plans. This position is strategically assigned within the four (4) regions: AMER, LATAM, EMEA (AfME) & APAC. Collaborates with all regional business units for colleague and site security. Leads the structure to provide guidance and support to the regional Site Security Officer (SSO) Network and individually supports regional company sites in a holistic security service approach. Fully supports Pfizer\xe2\x80\x99s mission of \xe2\x80\x9cBreakthroughs that change patient\xe2\x80\x99s lives.\xe2\x80\x9d

This position will report directly to the Senior Director, Physical Risk Mitigation, Global Security, and will support regional security functions of Global Security led by Global Security Senior Directors.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the PRM Program, which conducts regionally based site assessments to ensure compliance with the Global Security Minimum Security Requirements (MSR) and Third-Party Security Requirements, at both internal Pfizer Sites as well as 3rd party Contracted Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and Logistic Service Providers (LSPs). Manage & monitor security assessment remediation plan(s) completion. Collaborates with the PRM Assessment Program Manager.
  • Serve as a Global Security Point of Contact (GSPOC) for Pfizer sites in the designated region. Recognized as a regional security subject matter expert providing leadership and support to Country Managers, Site Leaders and SSOs across all business functions to consistently implement Pfizer physical security requirements.
  • Advise crisis management teams, plans and activities; serve as an advisor between the site/country crisis management teams and the corporate crisis management team.
  • Apply security technical expertise to assist regional sites implement company standard technology solutions aligned with global risk mitigation initiatives. Collaborates with the GS Technology Program Manager.
  • Support investigations across functional groups: People Experience (HR), Compliance, Legal, Employee Relations and regional sites.
  • Chair multidisciplinary teams for short duration projects focused on compliance, regulatory or threat-based initiatives.
  • Serve as a security services governance member facilitating consistent man-guarding contractual obligations, global/site KPIs, billing guidelines, and client satisfaction. Promote innovation to increase value-based service for both company and supplier.
  • Influence senior site/country leader\xe2\x80\x99s evaluation, selection, and integration of SSOs; promote the SSO role within all core business functions.
  • Act independently with time and resources to be a trusted advisor to regional business stakeholders, address local security/risk concerns, support site crisis management plans and training, evaluate country managers\xe2\x80\x99 protection posture, and maintain a cooperative working relationship with law enforcement officials and U.S. Embassy Regional Security Officers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in related field.
  • 6-8 years Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the enterprise security risk management (ESRM) model.
  • Working knowledge of DEA regulations with emphasis on Schedule II and all other controlled drugs and listed chemicals.
  • Experience interacting with State and Federal regulatory officials.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues and develop CAPAs.
  • Knowledge and experience in reviewing CS SOPs to ensure CS requirements are met.
  • Competent writer of corporate procedures and communications
  • Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Individual must be an effective change agent with highly developed problem-resolution skills.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently and initiate proactively.
  • Fluent skills in Microsoft Suite products.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or related professional certification such as CPP
  • Experience with S2 physical access control system (PACS)
  • Experience in project management to include sourcing & budget
  • Familiar with Good Manufacturing/Good Distribution practices and other regulatory requirements
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical industry

  • Sitting, standing, walking, ability to perform complex analyses and presenting to stakeholders
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • This is an exempt position.
  • This position can be based either at a Pfizer site or remote work from home location.
  • 25-50% regional travel is expected; 20% global travel.
  • Global Security\xe2\x80\x99s sphere of activity is 24/7. While the average work week will entail 40 hours of work during a standard Monday to Friday work week, the successful applicant will be expected to be available after hours and on weekends to address and manage threats to the company or its employees while also reporting outcomes to management.
