Position Summary

The PMC Lead oversees the Planning & Material Control function, ensuring optimal production scheduling, materials availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient coordination across departments. This role ensures smooth production flow, on-time delivery, and effective resource planning to meet customer and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

Develop and manage master production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, and material availability. Monitor production progress and adjust plans proactively to avoid delays. Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain schedule adherence.

2. Material Planning & Inventory Control

Ensure timely availability of raw materials, parts, and components to support production activities. Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels to avoid shortages or excess. Work closely with Procurement to track supplier delivery performance.

3. Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyse demand forecast, material consumption, and capacity data to support planning accuracy. Prepare weekly/monthly reports on production performance, inventory status, and planning KPIs.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

Act as the main liaison between Sales, Production, Procurement, and Warehouse teams. Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings and lead planning discussions. Address and resolve any planning or materials-related issues that may impact delivery.

5. Process Improvement

Lead initiatives to improve planning accuracy, reduce inventory waste, and enhance workflow efficiency. Implement best practices in capacity planning, material management, and production coordination.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Production Planning, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Production Planning, Material Control, or related functions. Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and material flow processes. Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
