Plant Assistant - Nitrohumic Acid Production

Job Summary:

The Plant Assistant supports day-to-day operations of the nitrohumic acid plant by assisting in raw material preparation, process monitoring, equipment handling, and product packaging. This role ensures smooth plant operations, cleanliness, and adherence to safety and quality standards under the supervision of the Plant Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:Production Support

Assist in the preparation and loading of raw materials for nitrohumic acid synthesis (e.g., humic acid, nitric acid, additives). Operate and monitor basic equipment such as mixers, reactors, pumps, dryers, and filters. Help in transferring intermediate and finished products between process stages. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the production area. Support drying, granulation, and packaging processes according to production plans.

Quality & Process Monitoring

Record basic process parameters (temperature, reaction time, pH, color change, etc.) as directed. Collect samples for laboratory testing and deliver to QC department. Report any abnormal equipment behavior, leaks, or process deviations immediately.

Safety & Housekeeping

Follow all plant safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure proper handling and labeling of chemicals. Participate in safety drills and basic equipment training sessions. Maintain cleanliness and proper waste disposal in designated areas.

Teamwork & Coordination

Assist plant technicians, supervisors, and maintenance staff in daily operations. Help during plant shutdowns, cleaning, and maintenance schedules. Carry out any additional tasks assigned by supervisors in relation to production or safety.

Requirements:

Minimum

SPM / Certificate / Diploma

in

Science, Chemical Process, Industrial Chemistry, or related field

. Basic understanding of chemical processes and safety handling procedures. Able to work in shift operations and physical plant environments. Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn technical tasks.

Added Advantage:

Experience in

fertilizer

,

chemical

, or

organic acid

production. Forklift or equipment handling certification. Knowledge of basic laboratory or quality control activities.

Working Conditions:

Plant-based position; requires standing, lifting, and manual handling. May involve shift work or weekend operations depending on production schedule.
