POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. They develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers\xe2\x80\x99expectations
• Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs andmaintaining current quality standards
• Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense ofdirection and focus
• Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
• Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff
• Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
• Commit to plant safety procedures, maintain safe and clean work environment
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, andperformance targets to ensure effective return on assets
• Influence and learn from below
• Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
• Effectively and efficiently communicate with employees and management to meet productiondemands
• Adhere to company policies, standard work procedures and job safety standards, includingrequired PPE
• Support preventative maintenance program efforts
• Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities as delegated
• Use judgement skills to resolve immediate issues for production operations

Other Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Plant Manager
• Proven managerial experience
• Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning,

resource allocation and human resources)

• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
• Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship

processes

• Computer literacy
• Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
• Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business/Finance/Management/Operations or other related field is

required

• 5 + years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the manufacturing industry or similar industry in similar functions is

required

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment, around machinery, industrial chemicals. This role
routinely uses tools and other such equipment during the course of the job duties. Provided Personal
Protective Equipment, as well as steel-toed boots or shoes, must be worn at all times.
Physical Demands

• Moderate walking and climbing
• Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections
• Regular, predictable attendance is required
• Must be able to complete work needing hand dexterity, standing, sitting, bending, kneeling,

pushing, pulling, reaching, squatting, and climbing

• Able to consistently lift and push up to 50 pounds

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel
You also will need to be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
