Job Description

We are representing our client, a MNC in the electrical wire and cable manufacturing industry, serving various sectors across the Asia-Pacific region. Currently, they are looking for a dynamic and result oriented candidate for the position of PLC Engineer (Maintenance) to be based in Melaka.Responsibilities:

• To Support Production operational requirements in terms of diagnosing & problem solving of electrical/electronic maintenance troubleshooting with minimum down time to achieve productivity.
• Doing preventative measures by the way of preventive maintenance, equipment health improvement and upgrading, software solutions and documentation.
• Responsible for repairing/maintaining all production electrical/electronic machinery/equipment to support the company's operational requirements.
• To work closely with production to diagnose problems and customize solutions to reduce downtime, cost and maximize productivity.
• Maintain production machinery/equipment in good condition to support the operation requirements through periodic maintenance.
• Ensure required electrical spare parts control and liaise with stores in charge/supplier for ordering essential items.
• Perform backup plan and to keep production machineries software's up to date.
• Maintaining of the minimum stock level for critical spare parts to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure that enforcement and control of 5s, Safety and environmental protection in the respective area.

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering or any equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years to 5 years of working experience in a heavy industry environment /electronics maintenance line.
• Good command of PLC Troubleshooting (Siemens).
