Responsibilities and Authorities

To manage, supervise and lead a team of operators and direct them in proper fabrication, welding or coating techniques and procedures to meet production metrics. Ensure efficient management of resources to achieved desired targets on productivity, quality, housekeeping and Health and Safety including responsible for workers attendance, overtime control and arrange for replacement whenever any of the operation personnel goes on leave. To ensure fabrication parameters are within specifications, process in compliance with approved procedures, product meeting quality specifications and corrective actions are taken whenever there is any nonconformity. Ensure operation works are completed on time, meet production schedules, within budget and conform to good quality standard. To ensure all tooling and equipment are available at anytime and any defects shall be reported to the Production Manager. To liaise with respective teams in order to ensure all defects work are carried within stipulated time period. To assist the Production Manager in cost reduction program, productivity improvement, and production efficiency; improve manufacturing cost, such as supplies / material control. To ensure full compliance with all safety rules and procedures by personnel when carrying out workshop work activities and proper housekeeping are being carried out in the plant Coordinate the maintenance and defect rectification works. To plan and carry out scheduled preventive maintenance with check list for equipments and machineries used in the workshop and ensure maintenance are done on time and focus to bring up all the machines to best level. Upkeep and maintain tools, equipment and machineries and to attain to all corrective maintenance / breakdown repairs to ensure minimal downtime of tools, equipment and machineries and in tip top running condition. Assist the Production Manager in preparing daily, weekly, monthly and yearly scheduled and preventive maintenance programs for all major and critical tools, equipment and machineries in the workshop. Monitor and analyze equipment history, root cause failure reports, and incident data reports to identify failure trends & develop recommendations to improve operational performance. Provide feedback to Production Manager on any irregularities and sudden breakdowns of tools, equipments and machineries. Collect and compile information relating to all tools, equipment and machinery breakdowns (scheduled and unscheduled), i.e., equipment / machinery operation / breakdown hours, nature of breakdowns, parts used, fabrication / alteration works done, etc. To oversee and assist Production Manager in solving any problems arising from the maintenance works carried out. To ensure that safety precautions are being observed at all times, particularly during the conduct of maintenance works. To ensure proper housekeeping are being carried out in the workshop. To carry out any other duties that is assigned by the Production Manager from time to time. To implement, oversee and communicate the environmental, safety and health preventive/ protective measures & practices, in ensuring compliance to ISO 14001& ISO45001's requirement as well as other relevant Environmental, Safety & Health regulation.

Competency Requirements

Certificate or Diploma in Structural / Mechanical / / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or equivalent and/or at least 3 - 4 years working experience in supervisory role. Able to assist in the coordination works amongst the production team and amongst relevant parties to deliver complete project within deadlines and the required specifications. Able to read, understand and interpret engineering/technical drawings. Highly self-motivated, posses strong leadership and supervisory skills. Working knowledge of planned maintenance routines and reports in relation to operations and maintenance in manufacturing related industry. Able to plan and work independently. Result-driven & action oriented. Fluent in spoken and written English, Bahasa Malaysia and/or Chinese.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
