• Responsible for the operation of generating units and its auxiliaries.
• Report to Senior Engineer (Operation) and work together with Shift Engineer / Technical Executive (Operation) / Senior Power Plant Operator, who will provide the routine tasks and activities.
• Perform routine task, such as;

• Work and report under command and instruction of Shift Engineer or Shift Chargehand or Technical Executive (Operation) in shift working arrangement, who will provide the routine operation tasks and activities, in accordance with Quality Procedures, Work Instruction, guidelines and manuals.
• Assist Shift Engineer or Shift Chargehand or Technical Executive (Operation) and Senior Power Plant Operator in the operations of unit generating sets including its balance of plant, and also on all power station related activities for electrical output, voltage, frequency control and generator and circuit switching and synchronizing in order to continuously generate electricity at a reliable manner to meet shareholder requirement.
• Assist Shift Engineer or Shift Chargehand or Technical Executive (Operation) in shift handover or taking-over efficiently, including provides information and details.
• Monitor, operate, and record the operational condition, parameter, and data continuously, accurately, and effectively of the hydro turbines generator and its common system, including power intake, spillway, and switching station, in designated documents.
• Pre-check, start-up, synchronize to grid, shutdown, and changeover mode of the unit generating set in safe and correct way.
• Assist in perform troubleshooting and rectifying of abnormalities, plant upsets, or faults within capabilities and report to the Shift Engineer or Shift Chargehand and Senior Power Plant Operator. Record all the rectification work, including findings, that has been carried out.
• Report any triggered alarms, problems, and faults immediately to the Shift Engineer or Shift Chargehand or Technical Executive (Operation) for further action. Record all the triggered alarms, problems, and faults in proper manner.
• Communicate closely and diplomatically with SESCO and other department, whenever required.
• Monitor and control the voltage and frequency of the unit generating sets in accordance with State Grid Code and SESCO Grid Operation SOP.
• Assist to provide accurate and up-to-date information of the plant to Senior Engineer (Operation) or Shift Engineer or Shift Chargehand.
• Monitor and assist in performing normalization of lubricating oil level of every auxiliary equipment such as dewatering air compressor, operating air compressor, etc.
• Assist Shift Engineer or Shift Chargehand or Technical Executive (Operation) and Senior Power Plant Operator to restore power supply during any blackout or emergency situation, according to the established Work Instruction.
• Always alert all the time during the day and night shift.
• Involve in maintenance activities, including frontline maintenance under directive of supervisor.

• Assist and participate to carry out repair and maintenance of generating unit and its auxiliaries.
• Inspection, troubleshooting, and fault finding of the generating unit and its auxiliaries at power station including power intake, spillway, and switching station.
• Involve in the programs, activities, and events (CSR, Tree Planting, Hydro Day etc.).

• Participate to ensure that programs, activities, and events are carry out smoothly, safely and within allocated budget.
• Assist in coordinating the programs, activities, and events with other divisions / departments / entities (internal / external).
• Involve in ISO and other certification activities.

• Actively involve, support, promote, and maintain in any tasks and activities for ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO55001, ISMS27001, and other certifications, such as MSOSH, PSEA etc.
• Participate in the audit session (internal / external).
• Involve in HSSE activities.

• Full comply of safety requirement on PPE, such as safety shoes/boot, safety helmet, earplug/muff, uniform, etc. for own, contractors, vendors, etc. and comply all the times on Life-Saving Rules (LSR).
• Assume the roles in emergency situation, as per stated in the station\'s Emergency Response Plan, Dam Safety Emergency Plan, Business Continuity Plan, and other emergency plans.
• Participate in any HSSE activities such as safety walkabout, training session, drill etc.
• Participate in safety inspection / walkabout.
• Participate in HSSE event.
• Participate in Emergency Response Plan (ERP), Dam Safety Emergency Plan (DSEP) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
• Involve in 5S activities.
• Practice and maintain high class 5S housekeeping at Batang Ai HEP.
• Participate in 5S activities.
• Carry out any other relevant tasks efficiently, as directed by the superior from time to time.

THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES (PROBLEM-SOLVING):

• Challenges to operate and maintain a high reliability and availability of the hydro generating set in meeting with SEB Power\'s objectives.
• Respond to abnormal or emergency situations, such as total / partial blackout and high / low reservoir water level, which may involve low voltage or high voltage switching.
• Monitor and take whatever necessary actions within capability to minimize the plant exposure to the risks that can affects its operation and performance.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE (KNOW-HOW):

• Diploma in engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
• At least three (3) years of experience in plant operation, maintenance, or plant performance.
• Experience in a power station or other related industries is preferred.

Preference will be given to internal candidate.
