Working with the Tech Data Sales Team, the Technical Sales Support is responsible for providing solution or technical support to the Sales team and presenting tailored proposal or qualification discussions to customers and/or prospects. The Technical Sales Support also assists the Sales Team with qualifying opportunities - in or out and helping expand existing opportunities through solid questioning.
Responsibilities:
Assist Account/Product Managers with qualification of opportunities by providing technical support
To work closely with Sales / Channel Team (Hong Kong Based) in approaching new engagements/prospects to find out and document the requirements and key findings.
Provides technical support and deliver solid product solution to customers and business partners.
To be updated with latest changes or new product introduced by principals and/or 3rd party vendors.
Contribute to and refine technical RFP/RFI responses
Recommend and influence market content.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum 3 years\' experience in presales or consultancy role
Experience in Infrastructure Solution especially in HPE DL, ML, BL servers series.
Experience in Infrastructure Solution especially in HPE MSA series. HPE 3PAR, Primera will be an advantage.
Experience in Infrastructure Solution especially in HPE Simplivity, HPE StoreOnce will be an advantage.
Industry recognition, credential and certification will be an advantage
Demonstrate strong verbal and written skills
Able to effectively manage your own time and calendar
Able to quickly learn several products across a wide range of Enterprise and Data Centre Infrastructure Technology
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with ability to articulate complex technology simply.
Self-motivated and flexible.
Ability to effectively multi-task and be able to handle a high volume of requests, specifically unplanned/unscheduled requests.
Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
Able to exhibit ability to be sensitive to the needs, concerns, and feeling of others.
Able to interact effectively with all levels of management.
